The project was a full refurbishment of our Edwardian, end of terrace house and garden plus
the construction of a new glass roofed, side return kitchen extension.
Our specification included structural work, drainage, landscaping, new wiring, plumbing,
heating, roof work, insulation, replastering, flooring, new bathrooms and a new kitchen with
an exposed brick feature wall. The decoration brief included painted living spaces with
hardwood and tiled flooring to give a contemporary feel while retaining period features.
We undertook the work while living 200 miles away and needed a reliable company that we
could trust. Ben James of Mere Development Group has been a stand out project manager
throughout and has delivered a quality job with skill and care. We are especially pleased with
our newly enlarged, living/dining kitchen, now full of light, looking out onto the rear garden.
Having undertaken several building projects over the years we have really appreciated Ben’s
attention to detail and his friendly, open style of communication. We were in regular contact
and when potential problems arose he was reliably responsive and calmly worked to find
solutions. This ‘can do’ attitude was key to keeping the build constantly moving towards its
positive conclusion.
